Beautiful views, great location for a romantic escape. Rooms were clean and comfortable, and staff was friendly and attentive. The spa treatments were excellent and offered a wide variety of services. The on-site restaurant had a good selection of food and drink at reasonable prices.
The decor was outdated and in need of a refresh. The continental breakfast was quite sparse and limited in options.

The location of the hotel is absolutely stunning, with beautiful views of the river and surrounding scenery. The room we stayed in had a great view facing south down the river Dee. It was clean and well decorated, with a comfortable bed. Another advantage of this hotel is the bar area outside overlooking the river, which is particularly attractive. It's the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a drink while taking in the picturesque surroundings.
The hotel seems to be in need of renovation, with tired-looking exteriors and some issues with maintenance. For example, the curtain rail in our room was hanging off the wall and the window didn't close properly.
